Requirements for Enrolled Students
- See the Graduate Catalog for specific requirements, including:
- Take an average of 15 credits each semester (12 credits of science) unless otherwise advised
- Maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA required for successful completion of the Post-Baccalaureate certificate
- Any grade of C- or lower will not count towards earning the certificate
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester, as required by the Graduate School
- Complete or plan to engage in experiential and programming activities as specified by Pre-Professional Advising to be considered a strong applicant to professional schools. These may include:
- Community service activities
- Required enrollment in a year-long, 2-credit academic seminar specifically for post-baccs
- Interviewing candidates for future post-bacc cohorts
- Optional research components at the main campus, Health Center , or participating hospitals (limited and tailored so as not to interfere with course demands) during summer semester break
- Additional clinical work, shadowing experience and community service is highly recommended
The Enrichment Programs Office will monitor all enrolled Post-Baccalaureate student activities and is responsible for confirming Certificate Program completion.
