Post-Baccalaureate Seminar: Crafting Pre-Health Applications
A unique feature of UConn’s Pre-Medical and Health Professions Post-Baccalaureate Program is our year-long (1-credit each semester) Post-Bacc Seminar, created and taught by Dr. Scheidel exclusively for students in the program. This seminar is designed to foster community, provide space for meaningful reflection, and guide students through the preparation of key professional school application materials, including personal statements, experience descriptions, and interview preparation.
Throughout the year, students engage in collaborative discussions, share challenges and successes, and build strong connections with their peers. The seminar not only supports academic and application readiness, but also focuses on personal growth, resilience, and developing a supportive cohort that lasts well beyond the program.
